1) Preparation of surfaces The surfaces must be prepared by removing any remaining dirt (dust, algae, moss, previous treatments not perfectly anchored, etc.).
2) Application productThe application can be made with roller, brush or spray; where required, make the second draft after complete drying of the first layer.
2-1) Encapsulating coating TYPE A (to external view): 1. STARBLOCK PRIMER as a hardener and promoter of adhesion; quantities to apply depend on the absorption of support
(approximately 200-300 g/m2);
2. STARBLOCK AMIANTO:
a) First coat with dry thickness not less than 190 ± 10 micron
(equivalent to 420 g/m2);
b) Second coat of contrasting colour with dry thickness not less than 130 ± 10 micron
(equivalent to 280 g/m2).
Total dry thickness shall not be less than 300 micron and the second layer of STARBLOCK shall not exceed the thickness of the first layer.
2-2) Encapsulating coating TYPE B (to inside view): 1. STARBLOCK PRIMER as a hardener and promoter of adhesion; quantities to apply depend on the absorption of support
(approximately 200-300 g/m2);
2. STARBLOCK AMIANTO:
a) First coat with dry thickness not less than 160 ± 10 micron
(equivalent to 350 g/m2);
b) Second coat of contrasting colour with dry thickness not less than 110 ± 10 micron
(equivalent to 250 g/m2).
Total dry thickness shall not be less than 250 micron and the second layer of STARBLOCK shall not exceed the thickness of the first layer.
2-3) Encapsulating coating TYPE C (not in view, containment operations): 1. STARBLOCK PRIMER as a hardener and promoter of adhesion; quantities to apply depend on the absorption of support
(approximately 200-300 g/m2);
2. STARBLOCK AMIANTO with dry thickness not less than 210 ± 10 micron
(in two coats of similar thickness to total 500 g/m2).
Total dry thickness shall not be less than 200 micron.
2-4) Coating TYPE D (temporary encapsulation for removal or disposal): 1. STARBLOCK PRIMER TIPO D to apply of colour appropriate to not less than
200 g/m2.
